Wind Power Generation?

I would like to set up a wind turbine in my home and transport its output to the national grid. However, is there a large set up cost of transporting its output to the grid? And therefore would it been seen as viable for the small amount of power that it will produce?

I have a feeling that if you are serious about this you should talk to your electricity provider. They might be able to subsidize or help with the cost of this.
No. You need to have very large wind turbine in order to be efficient, more than 100 meters high and 70 meters in rotor diameter, smaller ones are just a waste of money and resources. The output of such a turbine is enough for hundreds of households.
And they should be built on the ocean bed, at low depths of course, but far from urban areas, not on your house. They’re clean, but noisy.
actually your house meter will run backwards if you produce more energy than you use. However paying your local utility company is cheaper I think than the equipment and the fact with only one turbine you won’t make a lot of power.
Also, one thing thats been found about those turbines…they are bird killing machines!!!! They shut some down in CA when they found piles of dead birds under them that flew through the blades and got hit.
before you jump in, you should ck out Eco Quest international, they have a generate that is the size of a out side air condenser and works off 3mph wind and will run your house and send some to the grid
