FOR ENERGY PRODUCTION
1 u need lots of open land(with lots of money)
2 atleast 20kmph wind velocity is needed for optimum amt. of energy production
3 many generators for producing electricity
4 lots of manpower for setting up wind farm and maintenance
GENERAL PROBLEMS
storms
uprooting of trees
cause dust storms
etc.
you might have to clear a lot of land to build the wind powered generators since trees might block the wind… which is harmful to the environment.
not really a negative effect but you can only use wind energy if there’s wind, and if there isn’t.. too bad…
Noise and distortion of landscapes are the 2 major -ve effects caused by wind energy.
Noise caused by rotor blades can affect inhabitants, animals and ecosystems near the production spots. Many people find that these "windmills" are ugly especially if spread in the landscape and not concentrated on certain production spots. In regions with much tourism this argumentation becomes even more important. Even some ecologists follow these argumentation lines.
