Will wind farms cause environmental problems?
A windmill, and windfarm, takes energy out of the wind and converts it to electricity. Over time, and after lots of years of windfarms, we could have taken enough energy out the wind that winds would slow down around the planet. What do you think will happen?
(NOTE: back in the 1800's they thought there was infinite coal and oil and never imagined environmental issues with burning it, so this question may be a real problem).

That is a complete myth. If that were the case, then cities with skyscrapers would have slowed the wind down long ago. I’m pretty sure there are far more cities with skyscrapers than wind farms.
The wind pattern does change though, however it is compensated for in other places. Where a wind pattern changes to fall short, another area will increase in wind speed.
Also, wind farms do not kill birds. Yes some may have died(~7000 per year), but many, many more have been killed by cars(300 000 per year by cars). Bats are the ones that are threatened by wind turbines as the low frequency of the blades messes with the sonar the bats have.
As long as the sun keeps burning there will alwys be wind.
i haven’t heard that before, however i have heard that wind farms kill thousands of birds a year. i suppose that’s bad for the environment. your theory is an interesting one.
you can’t take energy away.
energy is always constant, you can take it away, give energy, destroy it or create it.
it always goes in a flow. the only way we’d lose energy completely is if the sun burned out
No not at all, this is impossible.
The wind gets its energy from the sun and the rotation of the earth. So until they run out winds will always blow.
Wind does not retain its energy anyway, one storm does not necasseraly fuel the next (thats not to say that this never happens). The wind that you feel today is not the wind you will feel tomorrow.
wind is caused by the escape of warm air. the effect is the cold air coming which causes wind. No, wind farms won’t cause problems to the environment.
