What to major in if interested in Renewable Energy?

I need to start thinking about colleges and majors in order to send out applications this fall, and I'm highly interested in renewable energy. I always thought Environmental Engineering would be the right choice, but it seems as though that has mainly to do with water and air treatment... What should I study?

We know all we need and have lots of
renewable energy technology.
Major in political science if you want to figure out why we
still use oil.
Don’t try to re-invent the wheel,
when the moderates and conservatives
get out of the way, we have plenty
of wheels in stock.

Many universities offer degrees in Energy, Water Management, Waster Management, etc… Find out if your university offers programs like that. They just might!
