   Energy received from the movement of the wind across the earth. This energy is a result of the heating of our oceans, earth, and atmosphere by the sun.

   Wind energy is received when wind blows on the arms of a "wind mill" and it turns the blades which are connected to a generator. This is there the electricity comes from. Just like almost every other method to generate electricity, some force turns a turbine which creates electrical current.

   It is the conversion of mechanical energy in the form of moving air into mechanical energy in the form of a rotating shaft into electrical energy by turning a electrical generator shaft.

   Wind energy comes from moving air which is converted to electric power to create electricity. Due to unequal solar heating of the earth, wind is generated. As air flows past the rotors of a wind turbine, the rotor spins and drives the shaft of an electric generator.
