Wind turbine.
Tide machine
Wave machine
Water temperature differential machine.
Geothermal
Pros should be obvious. Cons, they are usually expensive, and do not operate continuously, except for the last 2.
PS, turbines are not environmentally friendly, they are used in all oil and gas and coal fired plants.
Geothermal doesn’t have a major effect on environment. Nuclear energy, even though it is feared, is more environmentally friendly than our present coal burning facilities. There have been leaps and bounds in technology and safety for nuclear power plants.
Are turbines the same as those big windmill thingies? If so, then I think that’s one of our best bets for alternative energy. The cons to those are that you may not have enough room for them and they can get expensive.
And ethanol is a popular alternative fuel source but the only thing is it’s kind of sparse but gas would be like a dollar a gallon.
Solar energy, wind energy, energy from tides in the sea, energy from temperature difference in different sea water layers, biogas from waste
