What do Liberals want as alternative power?

My experience:

Oil and Coal are dirty and too big of a carbon foot print.

Natural Gas, the collection facilities and the pipeline are dangerous.

Nuclear: We no explanation needed

Wind Power: We are getting close, but what about the impact on the birds (no pun intended) and also the the impact on the scenery

Tidal Generation: No good because it will impact our beaches and sea life.

Solar: Scenery issues and it will also attract more heat and raise local temperatures

Hydro: they don't want to give up the land to create enough pressure and then even with fish ways in might impact the wildlife.

Mind you no arguments about putting in shopping plazas and mini-malls that use a lot of power.

To get power there is aa trade-off, why is it the Liberals expect no trade offs but want the use of oil to stop? What is their solution?

Does any knows some shops or area where I can find these? I know it is available here somewhere but I don't know where? If possible could you plase give me the address?

What would be the estimate price in Indian currency? I'll be using it in Wind Power Engery generation.
I don't know how to make one. So if they sell it ready made or you can have someone make it and then buy, how much would it cost? Actually it will be donated to a farm by a Bishop, so he asked me to find the information.

Which are advantages of wind farms?

A) wind turbines are non-polluting
B) the price of wind power is competitive
C) wind is constantly blowing
D) wind is sustainable
E) all excluding C

What is wind power; What do you think of it?

Explain how it works. How powerful one wind power "farm" would be. Your opinion on it.

What is the viability of Wind Energy?

i.e. the cost, efficiency and advantages of usin wind power instead of burning fossil fuels

Would you pay more for wind power?

Hi,

I'm doing my ISU and i have a simple question:

Would you pay more money on your electricity bill for wind power? What about other clean renewable energy?

We did an experiement in Physics 1001 and from our experiment, we concluded that wind power was 55% efficient, hydropower was 8% efficient, and the energy obtained from a falling mass on a pulley was 44% efficient. What are the actual numbers of this? I'm assuming our results weren't correct because we're just physics 1001 students in a laboratory setting. Sources, please?

I am not referring to solar or wind power, but more unusual devices such as magnets or radiant energy. If their is a law against this, is it Fed or State and where can I find the written law or laws?

Wind Farms Environmentally Beneficial?

I have a debate coming up about the Wolfe Island Wind Turbine Project (The second largest wind farm in Canada). The debate is whether or not the Wolfe Island Wind Project, as well as wind turbines in general, are beneficial to the environment or not.

I know there are the simple answers that wind power is renewable and that it doesn't generate any pollution (except in production it does). What I am looking for (without much success) are the BIG reasons why wind turbines overall benefit the environment (looking at environmental, economical, social reasons, possibly compared to other types of energy). Can anyone help? Links to websites would be awesome as well.

renewable energy, can it be mass produced?

I keep seeing articles saying we have to go to renewable energy sourses and soon. What options do we have. Hydro power is being used and has nearly reachedits limit. Wind power so far has not proven it's worth. It takes a huge number of wind turbines to even begin to make a dent in consumption of fossil fuels. The same with solar power. It would take a vast amount of solar cell panels just to power one factory. Bio fuels such as Bio diesel and alcohal use up a vast amount of crop land that will soon be needed to feed the growing population. Hydrogen has potential but so far it takes more energy to produce it than the energy it provides. Fusion nucular may be the best answer in the long run if it ever becomes possible to build fusion reactors that donot take outside energy to run them. Fision reactors create a vast amount of dangerous wste that will last far too long. Any one know of any alternative that can bee viable?
Thanks to you all for answering so far. There are ideas there that I have not explored very well so I will get at reading and see how they fit in. I know many things have to be done and I do hope it happens soon. Neucular for the time baing seems the only way out until something better comes along later. Thanks

What costs more, nuclear power or wind power?

What costs more per kwh, nuclear or wind power? How should I debate nuclear over wind?

I would like to know exactly which engineer types are related to alternative energy.

Such as, making green devices, solar power, wind power, biofuel, ect.

Thanks in advance.

What energy sources (one must be wind) are the most environmentally friendly, but also create enough electricity for a city to use. Please explain why you chose those energy sources. You must chose wind power as one of the sources and you can chose the second source.

I would like to know exactly which engineer types are related to alternative energy.

Such as, making green devices, solar power, wind power, biofuel, ect.
Examples that I heard of but I am not familiar with are mechanical/ environmental engineers but I would like a description of how the type of engineer relates to alternative energy.

Thanks in advance.

Concidering wind power. Does the kit come complete? And will the investment pay off?

Is Wind a form of radiant energy?

I understand that wind is cause by differences in air pressure due to solar or radiant energy... but is wind itself a form of radiant energy? furthermore is the wind that we harness for "wind power" radiant energy?

Wind Turbine?

I live in a subdivision and previously thought using wind power to generate electricity was reserved for people with more acreage.

I was watching "Living with Ed" on HGTV and I see where he has installed a small, cylindrical wind turbine on the side of his house and I wonder who makes it and where I can get one.

Does anyone know about "subdivision-safe" wind turbines?

Trying to find out what games, sports, or toys that use wind power..... I know of a kite! But thats about it.

Wind Power The electrical power generated by a
windmill varies jointly with the square of the diameter
of the area swept out by the blades and the cube of the
wind velocity. If a windmill with a 10-foot diameter
and a 16-mile-per-hour wind generates 15,392 watts,
how much power would be generated if the blades
swept out an area 12 feet in diameter and the wind
speed was 15 miles per hour?

Wind power, nuclear power, hydro power, solar power, and geothermal

Need some help for an assignment.
ALSO............
2 examples of where wind power is used
How does this form of energy impact on people's live??

THANKS

How easy is it to install wind power?
Where can one buy wind power?
Are there grants available for wind power?
Wind power tax breaks?

Please provide source links.

What are your views on wind as an energy source?

I am particularly interested in those perspectives who believe wind power is not beneficial.

i just need a simple answer. what was wind power used for in australia 100 years ago?

How do you answer a question like "When did Tokyo start to use wind power?"?
I thought the answer should be "it started to use it in 1996." or more simply "In 1996 ." But now I'm wondering if there are other ways to answer the question.
In this case, is it wrong if you answer like these.
1."It did so in 1996."
2."it did it in 1996."
3."It did in 1996."
4. "So did it in1996"

I really appreciate your help.
