I have to write a paper on an argument FOR wind energy (not against) and i'm having a tough time trying to figure one out, please help me!

I have a write a paper on arguing for (not against) wind energy. I need a opening paragraph that doesn't rush into the thesis but shows that i am open minded about energy.

Where can wind enegry be used?

I need to answer this question: a single windmill can produce some energy, explain the use of wind farms and where wind energy can be used to power a whole city?

It is for a science report, so please give as much detail as possible!

What are the costs and benefits on Wind Energy?

I need 5 costs and benefits of wind energy!

Dubai is so innovative in it's technological advances of solar and wind energy. Could we not, as a well "civilized" society quit fighting over energy issues, and invest some of this energy in a companionship with the Middle Eastern research?

This is the idea they are working with right now.

Thoughts on wind energy?

I am writing a speech for english on wind energy. I have various pros and cons of it, but I would like to hear what the public thinks about wind energy. What are your thoughts? Do you have any pros or cons of this energy?

i read in a newspaper that wind energy cud b used. like we blow a balloon and then then air gush out which makes the balloon go forward.same way if vehicles cud run using this alternate source

Wind Energy Question?

Ok,
Were learning about renewable energy in high school, and were now talking about wind energy and turbines and generators and so on and so forth.
Well I was wondering, If you have a small scale wind turbine (fully functional, a little larger than a desk fan) and you had it so that the electricity it made would make a fan (or another electrically powered wind source) turn. If you put that fan in front of the turbine, could it be like never ending?
Or would the generator in the turbine not produce enough electricity to run the fan?

What is wind energy?

What are the procedures for producing wind energy?
What are the advantages and disadvantages for wind energy?

Thank you!!!!
xD

I have to build a wind energy conversion device for my design subject. However, I can't use toothed gears, gearboxes, energy storage systems (e.g. flywheels, batteries, pressurised fluids, etc), rolling
element bearings and existing (pre-made) fan impellers.

So I need rough ideas on what are the things that can replace those items which can make the device moving.

now what i mean is that from which kind we can get maximum output....i don't care about today's technology what i want is from which we can get more....i think it should be solar because every photon has tremendous amount of energy which i think can't be harvested today but in future it can be...but my friends say its wind energy that is more....please help me out ..

i want to do masters in wind energy plz suggest me that wind energy has jobs in europian countries r in in any where ..

I heard that the output was low, variable and the back up generators were on all the time - hence no reduction in C emissions and an unreliable wind energy input. Was this correct information?

Thanks a lot!
I need a chart, it doesn't have to be a bar graph, but that would be really nice if it was. Or maybe some website links that show me how much wind energy is being produced?
if you could find it in the years between 1990 and 2011 that would be great, but it doesn't really matter.
Thanks again :)

This sounds AMAZING, after reading it do you think this is a real possibility and how many jobs world wide could it create? Since the U.S. Government funded the initial research wouldn't it strengthen the country economically and as well as make the U.S. the world's leading energy provider one way or another? What do you all think?

Here's a quote
The scientists behind the technology, which has been developed in research funded by the US government, say that generating power in this way would potentially cost only around 3.5p per kilowatt hour, compared to about 4.5p for wind energy and between 10p and 31p for solar power. They say the technology would require up to 50 times less ocean acreage than wave power generation.

Also at 3.5 per KWH it's cheaper according this this table than any other major energy source

i just want to know the advantages and the disadvantages of the wind energy. no more than that.

thanks a lot!

but if you have extra information to share, do drop it in. thanks again. :D

I think wind energy is best utilized in California but I am not quite sure. Does anyone know?

it has to be 8th grade appropriate and helpful in explaining the use of wind energy

are we overusing or under using wind energy?

so im doing a project in wind energy and i was wondering if we are overusing or under using wind energy

A big concern surrounding wind energy is the safety of birds. Is there a current model that eliminates this problem? If so, is there a version of that model for home use?

He mentioned ethanol, the production of which has been proven to be disastrous to the environment as well as damaging to food supplies.

He harped on electric cars which, again, create more pollution through the increased demand on power generation.

Wind & solar are useless outside of Jr High science projects.

So what mythological clean energy does he intend to throw away our money on?
How silly of me. Evidently everyone can have free power from wind or sun, we all just choose to pay ridiculous rates to burn fossil fuels.

Ethanol is a RENEWABLE fuel, but it is not a CLEAN energy source. This has been known for years. Do you people read anything other than fringe websites and propaganda?

As for Iowa... Not a single commercial wind farm operates without subsidies to stay afloat. They are economically unviable. In other words, the entire country is paying so Iowa can pretend wind energy is practical. It would be impossible to duplicate this nation wide.

how would california be different if we did not have wind energy how would it affect us and the enviroment and the world would we be better of with or without it

im doing a project on wind energy what are some jobs that involve wind energy
please help i've been looking all over the internet and cant seem to find anything

Will we go after the wind energy people whenever they are deemed as having money they took away from the poor welfare mom? will they become the enemy someday
