I am looking at my bill and I use on average about 50 KWH per day.....I dont know if thats high but I want to know what size of an solar power panel should I get or wind turbine to at least cut this in half or more....I would rather want the system to be grid tied.
By the way I live in middle Tennessee we are in zone 4 so we get 4.5 hours of direct sun and I dont now about average wind speeds.

I have a small remote cabin with good sun access and a fairly steady breeze that I visit about once a month. I want to install solar panels and a small wind turbine, but all the books I have read seem pretty complicated. I would like step by step instructions on how to install this system with recommendations on panels, charge controllers, inverters, and batteries. Also feel free to recommend low voltage appliances and lighting. Please feel free to dumb it down for me. I will be doing the instal myself as the cabin is only just now framed in with not interior walls. Thanks!

I need to come up with a way of producing energy in outback Australia where it is usually very hot and dry during the day but can get quite cold during the night. Is there some way of harnessing the energy not just of the sun like solar, but of the great change in temperature over the whole 24 hours?
Surely there is some potential to generate energy using the difference in temperature?

i love the way the song sounds but i have had trouble finding what it is. the commercial is for the toyota prius where the sun powers the wind in the car and then people come out of the ground to create the scenery. i know that is confusing but if you know what i am talking about i would love to hear from you. thanks.

Or wait until they are invented?
Pilgrim: You are going to spend the k+ price to switch your car to run off of natural gas? Are you sure the numbers work?
Joseph: Do you have a solar powered car? Just curious how sun lite will replace gasoline.

Okay so i am doing this project over Renewable energy and i have deeply thought about this. Is solar energy really Renewable? Because if the sun is slowly burning out, and may become Complete darkness one day, it wont make Solar power a Renewable resouce because it will Never last forever right?

The wind never blew again.
All of the tides stopped.
All of the rivers ran dry.
The Sun burnt out.

Just fast brainstorm without going in detail to much;
-I would look for the most powerful thing around" , which is the sun, those solar flares are like the size of the earth, find a way to make manipulate those flares, so only the density of just a pinhead would have the energy of the sun.And fly us the hell outta here houston

A star is a massive, luminous ball of plasma that is held together by its own gravity. The nearest star to Earth is the Sun, which is the source of most of the energy on Earth. Other stars are visible in the night sky, when they are not outshone by the Sun. For most of its life, a star shines due to thermonuclear fusion in its core releasing energy that traverses the star's interior and then radiates into outer space. Almost all elements heavier than hydrogen and helium were created by fusion processes in stars.

Sun is the of hydro energy, wind energy, ultimate source ocean energy, fossil fuels and bio gas. Justify this statement.
i meant sun is the ultimate source of hydro...................
sorry lol

Please only respond if you are positive of your answers please, i cannot afford to get any questions wrong thanks!
What force or forces constitute the fundamental source of energy that generates wind movement and circulation?
Choose one answer.

b. Radiant energy of the Sun
c. Coriolis Effect
d. All of the above

replace coal, much less coal and oil???
Never mind that solar works ONLY when the sun shines and wind turbines only work when the WIND blows, and that there is NO way to effectively store large amounts of electricity....

Solar energy doesn't seem to be very practical since there is only an average of 3.5 hours of full sun. There isn't enough wind in my area to produce much electricity. What other options are there?

I know the nation is an fuel crisis, not an energy crisis people. I don't have a solar car so the sun is going to be no help in getting to the grocery store. What is America supposed to do to get these gas prices down? I feel raped when I pull away from the pumps. The politicians have no control over the prices. The big 5 oil compaines are just stuffing their pockets and the people keep paying the price because WE DON'T HAVE A CHOICE.

I live in a very hot and open area, so solar energy will work perfect since the sun shines the whole day with no shadows from trees, and since it is open it is also windy at times too
