Discuss the renewable energy sources, consumption or energy crises in this country where, why, possible controlling factors. Like what are new sources of energy? Factors such as pollution, inexpensive etc.

I took an AP Environmental Science class and I fell in love with the idea of harnessing alternative sources of energy to help the world. But I have no idea what major I would choose in college. I really want to go to UCSD by the way
thanks for the help:)

I'm writing an 8-10 page research paper for my English course. I need help deciding what alternative sources of energy to research. A list of different kinds would help, for example: ocean energy, solar power.
other than those of course. thank you!!

I just wanted peoples answers and opinions for these questions. I am doing a test for renewable energy resources. I am actually a science professor for Harvard.I just have a few questions about renewable resources that I have been wondering out of curiosity. Well here they are. : )
1. What are the different types of renewable resources?
2. What are some of the advantages?
3. What are some of the disadvantages?
4. How does it impact our environment?
5. How does the conservation issue impact these alternative
sources of energy?
6. How does the Recycle-Reduce-Reuse policy apply to
these energy sources?

I'm doing a research on renewable sources of energy and I need some specific facts regarding : the countries which are most affected by this topic, what is currently being done to resolve the issue, where would the money for the solution come from. I need some of these facts because I will be participating in a debate and any of your answers/links/suggestions are most welcomed.

new and improved ways of working with renewable energy resources and bringing them to the front so that they are primary sources of energy for the US and not merely reduced to being “alternative” energy sources.

With sky rocketing oil prices and exponential increase in world population, the world is turning into greener and alternative sources of energy, more than you and I think or can even imagine. The thing is i want in, i want to start my own green power generation company especially in 3rd world war countries where power generation is epileptic and unstable. Any one doesn't matter, wind turbines, marine turbines or bio mass, doesn't really matter to me. Anyone with the same idea?...lets form a partnership, Cos am DEAD serious about this. or anyone can help me with where i can get funds or any thing at all that can lead me to getting one with time, no idea is too small or too big. The future might be filled with flying cars and anti gravity machines, but there's gonna be more wind/marine turbines than you and I could ever imagine.

What about other sources of energy? (wind, etc.)
What is your take on the energy problem and how we should go about dealing with it.

Should the citizens of the united states demand the government provide energy by any means until the technology and the hardware for alternative energy are ready?
I am not saying alternative sources of energy will not happen, of course they will, but we need energy now.
Get the electricity any way we can and phase out fossil fuels as alternative energy comes available.

and millions of miles of electric cabling?
eclectic: you do realize that plastic is made from oil right? It is hardly obsolete, even with alternative sources of energy.
