Which of the following is NOT considered an alternative source of energy?
A. wind and water energy
B. geothermal energy
C. solar energy
D. natural gas

Geothermal energy is not used worldwide because it is
A. inefficient.
B. geographically limited.
C. nonrenewable.
D. very costly

Fossil fuels include
A. hydrogen, oxygen, and acetylene.
B. wood and charcoal.
C. dinosaur bones.
D. coal, natural gas, and oil.

Such as making "green" devices, solar energy, wind energy, ect.!
I believe that mechanical engineers and environmental engineer are good examples but I would like to know of more careers.

Thanks.

Is solar Energy a Real Renewable resource?

Okay so i am doing this project over Renewable energy and i have deeply thought about this. Is solar energy really Renewable? Because if the sun is slowly burning out, and may become Complete darkness one day, it wont make Solar power a Renewable resouce because it will Never last forever right?

How would a trend toward alternative sources of energy, such as solar energy, affect the petroleum-producing countries of Southwest Asia?

Please help. This is for a Document-Based Question for World Geography.

why is wind considered solar energy?

I was asked on a science exam how wind is considered solar energy. Please help.

I'm doing a report and I would like to know if California buys Renewable energy from other states or, if they are totally self sustaining in that aspect. Maybe they buy solar energy from nevada or wind energy from Utah? Help?

How is Solar Energy linked to Wind Energy?

How is Solar Energy Linked to Wind Energy?

ok...

it needs some experimentations, however it seems to work very well...
This NaCl peculiarity comes from its high value of the heat of fusion(about 300 kwh/m3 - in addition a little salt mine can easily contain 100 millions m3 of salt...) .
It means that solar energy can be used to melt the salt, then it can release heat constantly...

Do you agree?...........

is it possible for a car to work on wind energy?

just like they charge batteries by solar energy and make the car work on that battery....can they do the same with wind energy?

if not, why?

i mean scientifically or financially or commercially
but why can not we charge batteries by the wind energy, by wind generator i mean....just like we charge batteries by solar energy....and then we let the car work on the battery

Which alternative energy sources are not affected by the sun out of
Solar energy
Wind energy
Hydropower
Biomass
Hydrogen
Geothermal
?

Which renewable energy source has the greatest net energy yield?
A. Solar Energy
B. Hydroelectric
C. Wind
D. Biomass
E. Hydrogen Fuel
F. Geothermal

And please explain why you picked the answer , for example :

F , Geothermal , this is beacuse .......

Thanks , i need the answer+explaination by tonight .

How does renewable energy help our future?

Anything that can be used to make heat or electricity without unsustainable fuels and which does not make a net contribution of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. This includes wind power, waves and the tides, solar energy, geothermal energy and biomass. Nuclear power, although it is low-carbon, cannot be counted as a renewable source of energy because its fuel, uranium, is finite.
How does all of that help our future? Thank you.

the most profitable field when it comes to renewable energy is solar power. It seems as if the biggest “controversy” regarding solar power is the amount of space required for the solar panels to capture the solar energy which is converted to electricity.

what is most used form of energy in Maine? Wind vs. Solar Energy? Which produces most megawatts, and which is owned more? No oppinions please, just please have proof. (websites, books ect)

I have to create a Bill that could get passed by congress in my Goverment class.
Since Democrats are all about the enviroment I was thinking making it mandatory for Business and schools to use solar energy. Which is an Altertive Energy source. I would like another opinion on it. I would really appreciate it. Remember its only for a mock cogress in my Gov class.

i am looking for some articles on thermal, geo thermal hydro solar energy articles written by those people..
ex: I need to answer questions such as what it the benefit, effect, cost of renewable energy and how much time it will take to make the transition to renewable energy......

out of coal, wind energy, and solar energy, which is the best for producing electrical energy????

i need help by tonight! this is for a project for school tomarro! helpp hellppp pleasseeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!! i need help on that question with deatil and explanation! please and thank you!

i love you all who help me on this! :)

which gives more energy , fossil fuels or renewable resources such as : wave energy ,wind energy, biomass, solar energy?

And how much does biomass energy cost?
How much does wave energy cost?

which produces more.wind energy or fossil fuels ?
Please can you answer all those questions.Thank you.

Out of solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectric power, hydrogen fuel cells, tidal or wave energy, nuclear energy, and biomass which is the most common used?

When I was in Arizona, there was a whole field where huge solar panals collected sun energy. Why arent more ideas like that being used? Think of all the southern states that recieve plenty of sunshine for solar energy. Think of all the mountainous areas and flats that would be great for wind power. Why should money be an issue when it would more than pay for itself in the long run?

A. When a hydoelectric dam is built, thousands of acres of nearby land are flooded.
B. The production of solar energy does not pollute the air and will require the manufacture and installation of new equipment.
C. Biomass is readily available and can produce emissions similar to that of coal.
D. Landfills are ofter owned and operated by business people who sell the methane to utility companies.

Only 80 billion(roughly 10% of the "Stimulus" bill) was spent on renewable energy. Nothing is being done to develop said technologies. More of the bill was spent on pork and earmarks than was spent on infrastructure and energy, two of our biggest needs. We can supply enough power to meet 100% of our needs through Solar energy. The technology is out there already. Why are we not doing this? Does this give an open window for a Republican to come in and propose better solutions for energy independence and clean energy?

Some places rely on solar and wind energy right? To power their homes and such. How do they use energy in the night or when there is no wind? Do they have something that stores the energy like a big battery or something?

I have to “make” a green city and it will use renewable energy source including solar and wind energy. How would I make the wind and solar energy sustainable and not have shortages of power?

is it possible for a car to work on wind energy?

just like they charge batteries by solar energy and make the car work on that battery....can they do the same with wind energy?

if not, why?

I'm writing a paper on the benefits of wind and solar energy, in both an economic and social context. Though I appreciate your personal opinion on its benefits, I would REALLY appreciate some possible sources to give me a start on the paper. Please keep in mind that I am not looking for a political discussion or opinions, this is for a graduate-level paper and I am to only write about the benefits of wind and solar energy - so sharing your personal beliefs about the negative effects of alternative energy does not interest me or anyone else and they will be ignored.
Thanks!
