Question about contracting on wind farms?

This is a weird one... my boyfriend and I want to move to Ireland (he's from there) and we're looking into jobs for him. He's an electrician, but NOT an electrical engineer. He'd love to get a job working on one of the new wind farms, but all the postings we've seen are for jobs at upper-management level. We figure they're outsourcing the more physical-labor-intensive jobs, but have no idea how to find one of those.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
I should clarify: He's not an engineer and doesn't know the industry. He's an all-around knowledgeable electrician. We're just looking for information on which contracting companies might be doing the labor.

I plan to pursue Ms in the above from University of Hamburg What job and salary can i expect after this.

plzzzzzzzzzz reply/answer.

Nearly billion in money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has been spent on wind power, funding the creation of enough new wind farms to power 2.4 million homes over the past year. But the study found that nearly 80 percent of that money has gone to foreign manufacturers of wind turbines.

So Where Are the Green Jobs Obama promised?
Steel Rat - You didn't read the story and what you are whining about is not addressed in this story.
Steel rat - Last time I was in California I literally saw hundreds, possibly thousands of the windmills generating electric.

What you don't see to understand is that my article states that the money spent in the bailout did not create any jobs here in the USA. While we have manufacturers here in the USA, the money was shipped to an overseas manufacturer.

This was not what Obama promised and I am pointing this out.

If a wind farm works, more power too them. But I should not have to subsidize it with tax money. If it stands on its own and it can make money, then that is great. Otherwise don't force me to send tax money to Washington to subsidize a private company.

I'm looking to make a career switch to an eco-friendly job, so my conscience will let me sleep. From my research, there seems to be great potential in this field, especially in the Great Lakes region (where I currently reside). I'm open to serious thoughts/insights about this field.

I have a Bachelors in Material Science and Engineering. No particular solar experience. I've been looking to get a masters at Univ. of Texas or another Texas University, but I'm not sure which degree would best help me get a job, if at all. What should be my next steps, I've been researching for a few days.
How would I go about getting a entry job in the solar industry, what type should i look for?

I'm doing a project that includes a Career in energy, so I chose Windy Energy Technician. Anyone that's in the field, or anyone that knows-what are the job requirements? Is a degree needed? Thank you

What skills and qualifications do you need to become an electronic engineer?
What are the duties involved in that job?
What would be the best enjoyment of having this job?
can u please try to answer all 4 questions =]

What major should I major in to do this? Which schools should I look into? Will I have a job in the future?

I'm planing on going to that redstone college but I want to know if the job market for wind energy technician and if any one knows if redstone college is any good

I'd like to get a job helping to develop alternative energy sources like wave, tidal, and geothermal energy, but I'm not sure what the best college major would be for a field like that. Any suggestions?

I have a passion for renewable energy and would like a career in the field in the future, but what degree should i do to get a job in the industry?

How does wind power work?

I need to know how wind power works for s job geezzzzzz

Which major would be best for a job in cleantech companies or any other alternative energy businesses. I would guess some sort of engineering but I don't specifically know which type of engineering. Thanks.

I'm 22 and I need to do something with my life. The salaries of the two careers are around the same, but I want a job that will last. Renewable energy is suppose to be big in the future, but I'm sure how many jobs will be available. Any suggestions?

Has anyone ever heard of the cummins power generation training, I am a uti student and it is a 12 week course in az, I think it is designed for diesel gen-sets and transfer switches.
What is the pay range for diesel gen-set techs. How limited is that field, and can I apply and( of course get a job) in wind or other power gen fields with that training.

How do I enter the renewable energy industry?

I just left my job as an online advertising manager for a successful online retailer. My personal interests and sense of responsibility to help save our planet have prompted me to seek an opportunity in the renewable energy industry.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can break into this hot new field? My background is journalism and a specialization in online channel partners, especially eBay, Amazon, and Shop.com.

Thanks!
Erik
