Do companies that produce solar panels, hydra power equipment, etc...get tax breaks or incentives from the government? If so, how much?

I'm reserching how the EU is managing climate change and was wondering how they are encouraging the use of renewable energy sources, if there are any incentives throughout the EU to encourage people to install things such as solar panels?
Any help will be appreciated.

I am doing a debate for a club, and this is the topic. I am AFF so I need to support the fact that the usa should increase alt. energy incentives.
Thanks!

All they have to do is increase their subsidies and incentives to companies in the renewable energy industry, create an easy to entry barrier with full Govt support, these Co.s will then invest the money in R&D and very soon there will be the advent of a new breakthrough in technology which will be cheaper than the current energy sources we have today.
This, in place of taxing CO2 and every molecule out there with out including H2O and O2.

The United States federal government should substantially increase alternative energy incentives in the United States. This is the resolution.

I'm doing a debate and need evidence that says alternative energy incentives (such as tax breaks, etc.) will make more people use alternative energy sources. If you can find any thing that says they will, please answer. Thank you!

I know what alternative energy is and I have some idea of what incentives mean but I think when you but them together there is a different meaning.
