I heard that the output was low, variable and the back up generators were on all the time - hence no reduction in C emissions and an unreliable wind energy input. Was this correct information?

Alternative Energy Survey – What do you think?

1. Do you believe the government focuses enough attention on alternative energy?

2. Should the government focus more money and legislation towards improving existing energy sources or alternative energy sources?

3. What do you feel is the biggest concern regarding alternative energy? (Cost/Efficiency/Emissions)

4. Should the government put price limits on gas?

5. Do you believe that alternative fuels would increase the prices of materials used to make them?

6. Do you feel that the government should cut other spending and use more money to research alternative energy sources and fuels?

9. What type of home heating do you use?

Alright, we cannot drill, we cannot have nuclear power.

I wish I could take a leak into my car and make it run, but the technology is not there right now.
How long before we can make semi-trucks and airplanes that can run on renewable energy?

I've seen these vehicles with 30 batteries on them, but they can hold no more than a suitcase (if they have a trunk at all) and the waste from the batteries is more toxic than gasoline emissions. By they way, they cannot run at freeway speeds.

It seems like the two big things going for Texas is all this natural gas which is low emissions and then wind energy out in West Texas, not excluding some farms in central Texas as well?
