I am writing a research paper and I need a good hooking sentence, preferably a quote. My topic is the argument against using alternative energy sources to fossil fuels since they are just too expensive and unreliable. Are there any notable quotes that would help help me argue my point? Thanks

1. Do you believe the government focuses enough attention on alternative energy?
2. Should the government focus more money and legislation towards improving existing energy sources or alternative energy sources?
3. What do you feel is the biggest concern regarding alternative energy? (Cost/Efficiency/Emissions)
4. Should the government put price limits on gas?
5. Do you believe that alternative fuels would increase the prices of materials used to make them?
6. Do you feel that the government should cut other spending and use more money to research alternative energy sources and fuels?
7. Do you feel that the government should offer tax deductions to businesses that use alternative energy sources and fuels?
8. Should the government mandate that gas stations offer alternative fuels to their customers?
9. What type of home heating do you use?
10. Have you thought of using an alternative form of heating in your home? If so, what?

new and improved ways of working with renewable energy resources and bringing them to the front so that they are primary sources of energy for the US and not merely reduced to being “alternative” energy sources.

Would such a small retail store, or corner market, consider using a small wind turbine and/or solar panel if it is in a safe area of the main city? How would the UN or the World Food Program help with this research?
Can just one small corner store owner in the entire country get any protection from the UN or the World Food Program to at least run their store and try some alternative energy sources free of violence?

One of my friends was dismissing alternative energy sources, like solar panels on houses, because he said they were not "cost effective". Hmm...

I know that some people think that we should focus on increasing energy efficiency and energy conservation rather then alternative energy sources. Why? Also, what is the difference between energy efficiency and energy conservation?

Why aren't we using all the alternative energy sources that were developed back in the Clinton years?
You know, back when we had all that extra money and prosperity. We had such intelligent leadership that could see we can't be dependent on foreign oil forever.
And that was ten years ago, so some of those energy sources should be hitting the market just about now. Just in time, too, because gas prices are going sky high.
Why don't we just switch over to the Clinton era energy sources and end our dependence on foreign oil?

im doing a project for school and it asks what are the problems associated with alternative energy sources.
now, i know fossil fuels(coal, oil etc...) create greenhouse gasses but solar power, it seems there is nothing wrong with it
is there anything wrong with it?

I want to write about alternative energy sources for an argument paper for English. (Nuclear Fusion/Fission, Wind, Geothermal, Hydrodynamic, etc.) However, it's difficult to single out a particular argument. We have to argue a specific change the audience should make. I would like to discuss home design and improvement as well. (like improving energy efficiency in the home). however i can't settle on a single arguemnt in which I can write a 8-page argument. any tips/suggestions?

By alternative energy sources I mean things like solar, wind, nuclear, geothermal, hydroelectric, etc. I want to see how efficient they are, not really paying attention to how polluting they are.

this is a science hmw that is due on tuesday, and i need help plz!
the topic is Alternative Energy.
So I need to know how alternative energy sources work. that is the question i have the most problems on... if you wouldn't mind I would appreciate a sentence or two on these two questions about alternative energy sources.
Can we use them to generate electricity?
and
How can we use them to generate electricity?
