Pros:
source of energy may be free [solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal]
Will not foreseeably ever run out
Cons:
Usually very expensive up front because of low-volume production
Does not make oil companies any money
energy is all around us.why do we pay for this?
but i am in favour of nuclear fuel.
pro:
*it’s in the name: renewable.
*no power fall outs
*clean electricity
*far less impact on the environment then every other source of electricity
*even though the initial cost of installing an individual solar/wind power system is rather high, in 7 to 20 years (depending on electricity prices of where you live), you have paid back all investments and will basically start earning money of your system (considering that you do not have to pay for electricity no more).
con
*you need a big system to be able to run apliences with heater-elements in them (like a coffee machine, magnetron, washing machine). However, you can still make your coffee the old way, coocking does not require a magnetron either and washing does not have to be done with heated water to get good and clean results.
*big initial investment. However, you could always up your morgage a bit and spread out the initial costs in that way.
*you need batteries, those will never be environmentally friendly.. And the batteries need replacement every 5 years (well, those that we use now)..
Overall: in order to keep the planet habitable in a normal way for human beings, there is not much choice and the step to use renewable energy on large scale should be taken.
If a government decides to start using renewable energy, you will not see any difference in your day to day life. If you yourself decide to use it, you will, of course have to install the system.
Well the best renewable source is oil & gas. The earth has recycled it for millions of years. When u say fossil fuels u think animal but our & gas come from the plant fossils. All the oil is fron plant oil’s . That is the energy capture of the suns energy. Oil or petrolium is just natures ageing of plant oil or biodiesel.
