Renewable energy?

Why doesnt the government make everything with renewable energy? why are factories and plants still using fossil fuels?

There is a lot of money behind fossil fuels in this country, and an awful lot of very rich people would lose money if fossil fuel consumption dropped to zero. A great book about this is called Big Coal; it goes through the coal industry from mining to polluting and describes the power structure that is holding up this archaic method of electric generation.
Renewable energy is gaining a foothold in this country, but like anything else, it’s not going to happen overnight. Engineers are finding new ways to create and conserve electricity everyday, but it is up to the rest of us to continue demanding clean energy until the change is complete.
As for industrial uses, many industries can use renewable energy for their electric needs, but some of the high-power requirements require the extra muscle that electricity cannot always provide (at least, not yet). You aren’t going to be seeing any hybrid-electric bulldozers very soon; the technology just isn’t that strong yet.
All the same, be vigilant! Many things once said to be impossible have already been done, so I have no doubt we can find ways to eliminate pollution entirely.
because there are more then one reason why fuel is useful
being renewable is one thing, but how effective it is…thats another question
gas is currently being used since it has alot of power, other sources just cant complete… that is unless you like going 25 on the freeway
The government doesn’t make anything other then taxes.
The high cost of fossil fuels will make R.E. a reality.
The new house I want to build will have ZERO fossil fuels to power it.
because someone is making money and doesnt want to stop…when you get that high up in the league, people kill for that kind of stuff…..
The oil companies are keeping us trapped!!
They have been for years. I think we can start
