Thermal energy means heat energy and it is theoretically non renewable.
Thermal energy coming from burning fossil fuels, bio mass etc are clearly non renewable since we cannot get back the fuel we burned.
But another form of thermal energy – The Geo thermal energy- which carries the heat of the core of the earth is considered as renewable because of the fact that it is coming from the earth core and its amount is not known to people. But theoretically it is also non renewable since we start using it more and more we are going to have less and less of this. Like what we thought of oil some 100 years ago.
"Thermal energy" just means heat. It can be made by renewable or nonrenewable sources.
Renewable sources are things like wind, solar, biomass, etc. Nonrenewable means fossil fuels and nuclear.

look at these you can get an idea!
depends on which geo thermal energy. Volcanic or magma or heat pump, google these to find out.
Strictly speaking "thermal energy" is the same thing as heat energy, and that would be any energy that involves heating. So I assume that your question is really about GEOthermal energy, which is energy produced by the heat generated by the earth’s core. Renewable energy is usually defined as energy that is "naturally replenished," that is energy that is generated from natural resources including sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and GEOthermal heat. So, if that’s what your question is about, then yes GEOthermal energy is renewable.
all energy is renewable it just changes form. *gravitational potential energy can be transformed into heat, & sound energy.* light enery can be transformed into thermal energy.
renewable
