A primary water heating with backup
A primary heating with backup
All while being energy efficient, while trying to "stay off teh grid" and be self sufficient.

I have dreamed of this home myself, you will for sure want to build an earth sheltered home for the most efficiency, heat with wood or wood pellets or corn burning stove, you can heat your water with the same heater, or use a geothermal system, and of course, solar panels, a windmill, or both for electric
