Could wind power fuel tanks and jeeps in Afghanistan?

If all troops had plug-in electric scooters it might help us survive the Depression in the USA. Maybe Obama's Stimulus Package has included this great idea.

Its a good stab at an idea, but doesn’t seem feasible. Afghanistan is a mountainous country and I don’t believe a scooter would be suited for the terrain, as for the wind power, wind isn’t constant enough to be a viable stand alone power source. Solar energy would be better harnessed, but considering the terrain again and what the vehicles have to be expected to do with keeping up-armor and protection there really isn’t a good way around how things are currently being done.
Yes they’ll reach a record 15 mph and will require 10 hours of charging a day for 3 hours of use.
How would that work? They have miniature wind turbines mounted on the cars or would they need to be charged. Either way it doesn’t seem realistic nor pragmatic with our current technology.
well the technology for battery powered vehicles isnt all there yet
a small standard car can run 40 miles on a battery with no gas, at best
so the technology is probably either not there or very very expensive. its really not a question of whether wind power could do it or not, its whether the tank could take electric power vs gasoline
wind power could definately provide electricity to all homes in iraq and partially cover some gas reduction in small cars….
Stupid.
Your an idiot
