My inlaws have limited electricity supply and it's too expensive. I would like to build solar or wind generators for them. They live near Calbayog City. Thanks for any advice.

I am curious of how they get the electricity produced by a windmill or even solar panel to a city or a city's power grid or city's electric plant. I know obviously they have to send it via wires underground but does anyone have more info on the process like installation, how the electric system (how they send electricity to a grid with out over loading it.

why should more people use solar power and wind power? and what are the benefits of both of them? does it save you money, how much and how much will it help the earth if one person decided to use them? what about a hundred people? what would happen if everyone and every building, cars, trains, airplanes, EVERYTHING in the whole world started using solar/wind power?
oh sorry, forgot about water power. what about water power? again, water power benifits, same as above.

I think they buy solar power (if you generate a ton) but I was wondering if they bought back wind? I was thinking about making some homemade turbines for a winter project.

If you compare the affects of oil drilling or wind power. I think wind power is way more safe than drilling. The planet.

should i change to 50% or 100% wind power energy?
what r some pros and cons of using wind power energy?
i know its green, less gas, coal, nuclear energy will be use less and it will save some money every month
but they asked if i want 50% or 100% wind energy as if theres some thing bad about it...is there?

A couple of persons said Solar power generators are costly because of it equipments. How about the wind power generators ? I residing a km near sea shore an there would be some wind at most times.
I am in South India and I need to know the total cost for setting up a wind generator for my home in order to cut down my electricity bill. A set up that can power at least 4 Fans, 4 tube lights (40W) and a computer.

the question reads: 2 sites are being considered for wind power generation. site : the wind blows steadily at 7m/s for 3000 hours per year. site 2: wind blows at 10 m/s for 2000 hours per year. assume wind velocity is negligable at other times of the year.
i would like to see the equation and steps to solve it.
thanks

I own five acres of land in a very sunny part of Colorado. The subdivision in which I have the land has no active HOA and there are no covenants that prevent me from putting up as many solar panels and windmills as I can handle. How would I go about selling land for solar or wind power or even getting it going and just getting a check every month?

A few other questions on wind power, as i'm very interested in this subject .......
- How expensive is wind power? (the construction, expensive to run)
- Is wind power used anywhere else in the worl apart from Australia?
- How sustainable are the reserves of energy?
10 points us for grabs!!

I want to take a regular motor and change it to make wind power. Can anybody give me a website that show me how to do this (or something like it). Please do not give a website that makes you buy something. I want a website that show me how to do it.

I estimate 800kwh of usage per month and I'm looking to purchase everything I'll need. I like the reviews on the Skystream Land 240 VAC Wind Turbine, I guess I'd need two of them, what else will I need to make this system operational?

Consider a power line that is suspended between two telephone poles. As the wind comes up power line just moves around in seemingly random shapes but for certain wind speeds the power line seems to “hold its shape”, vibrating very prolifically and in certain patters. Please explain.
