HMMM.where is there a storage system in the grid? Are there massive battery stations that store this? I seem to think that is a little on the bs side of things.

In NH, they are building a "wind farm" on top of a scenic mountain that has caused an uproar.
What do you think the people are complaining about and worried about? There are going to be 24 of them, each 250 feet high.
Is it true that turbines kill birds, such as bald eagles?

Specifically, the CO2 releases involved in the construction of the towers, turbines, concrete footings, installation and maintenance of wind farms, and the CO2 releases involved with manufacture and maintenance of the parts associated with solar cells/panels.
I've had no luck in my internet search attempts and am genuinely curious.

What kind of research it needs to be done if any? what company provides the wind Fans to produce electricity? Any information that can help in presenting to those countries that depend on Oil; and they may be in the right location to start a new way of providing electricity.

I saw many wind farms in the south of Tamil Nadu(India). TN being the no.1 producer of electricity through harnessing wind energy, there aren't any wind mills erected on the sea shores( as far as I heard). While the wind energy are highly developing in this part of the country and also the wind along the coastline is stronger than the areas where wind mills actually been constructed and also TN having a long coastline. Why the wind mills aren't erected on sea shores?

I need an accurate count of how many megawatts of energy are produced by all the wind farms in Hawaii.

I was thinking about wind turbines. They are becoming increasingly popular and it made me think about how it may affect the world climate. Large areas that have thousands of wind turbines would almost certainly alter the wind patterns in the immediate area. Could this cause adverse or unwanted affects? Especially if you have many wind farms all over the world. After all, no one thought when they first started firing up coal power plants that they'd be putting the world climate at risk.

Visually, would you prefer solar farms or wind farms?

honestly....I would laugh for a second...just because the image I would have in my mind: Tree huggers who vehemently condemned Oil Companies for ruining our environment are now crying foul because of the rise of thousands of decapitated birds due to highly fuel efficient wind turbines...
man ....life of tree hugger...is never a happy one...lol

I need to answer this question: a single windmill can produce some energy, explain the use of wind farms and where wind energy can be used to power a whole city?
It is for a science report, so please give as much detail as possible!

Can some one please help me with this question. It's for a science assignment. What environmental factors does a company need to look into before selecting a site to build a wind farm?
