I've heard about these. Does anyone have one? If so, please tell me how much they cost and how much you pay for electricity each month. Do you need to live in a very windy area or just mildly windy? Do you recomend one?

I am looking for a wind turbine which is a scaled down version of those big wind turbines. It has to be 18 inches in diameter or a bit bigger, but not bigger than 2 feet. I need it for an experiment that I am designing for my design course.

For a 5 month project at school I have to build a wind turbine for my home. How many hours will it take, will I get an efficent gadget, and how much will it cost? I'm thinking of getting help from a small wind turbine manufacturer. And I would just like to say my motor skills are very poor and I am not used to building things. Can I do it?

I have watched a promo at tv this morning about building my own wind generator and that guy seemed to be very convincing, everything was costing about 0 and he was making his own energy at home.Also when he was making something extra it was payed by the energy company so he made something ecologic and also economic.
I wanna know who made this , cause on tv looks very nice but in reality might be different , so did anybody made a domestic wind generator ?If yes how ? or where did you read all the details? Thank you!

Hi, I wanna build a small wind turbine, but the only ones I can find either come in a kit or are extremely complicated. I want to build my own without using a kit or spending a lot of money, are there any sites that show you how to build one? I also don't have any power tools @ my house, so I won't be able to do any ones that involve those kind of tools. thanks xoxo

I'm working on a science research project that involves replacing the grill of an automobile with micro wind turbines of equal surface area and im not sure how to measure the energy gained from the turbines. I simply planning on, in the future, connecting the turbines to an external battery, not rerouting it back into the car.
Also could anyone could help tell me how i could related the decrease change in MPG, as a result of the new drag from the new grill, to the gain in energy from the turbines to see if i get a net gain?
I understand that the law of conservation of energy clearly comes into play but that is why I am not putting the turbines on the top of the vehicle. I will be replacing the grill, an object whose function is to allow air to pass through to the engine to cool it off and protect the engine from foreign objects. I am taking the wasted energy (the drag on the grill) and turning it into something more efficient while maintaining the primary function of the original grill.

as the electric car is driving could a small wind turbine be deployed up say from the trunk or through the grill area and allowed to spin to create new power made from the car moving forward to repower itself ?
