wind energy
geothermal energy
ethanol
biodiesel

I'm thinking about getting my Associates in Applied Science for Alternative Energy and was wondering what kind of jobs I would be looking at. Any ideas as to what jobs require this?

Like (example), I would choose biofuel, particularly vegetable oil, to power RV's.

Would hydrogen be one? What else is there!?

what will happen to the supply of corn's substitute such as soybean? What will happen to the price of corn oil? How does the price elasticity of demand for corn oil influence the quantity-demanded of corn oil and the Total Revenue earned by sellers of corn oil?

Can anyone provide me with some good logic or actual facts on how BRIC (Brazil Russia India and China) helped us switch to alternative energy?
I get that they increased pollution, but what else?

The idea is that the West in general and the U.s, in particular, should be more self-sufficient in energy resources to reduce dependence on oil imports from the Middle East

Are there any through Vanguard? (I think they only have an energy fund with 80% in oils, yuck!)
I've got 00 to invest....would like alternative energy index funds...with low expense ratio...and good returns.
What do I buy and where do I buy it through?

I took an AP Environmental Science class and I fell in love with the idea of harnessing alternative sources of energy to help the world. But I have no idea what major I would choose in college. I really want to go to UCSD by the way
thanks for the help:)

I work a lot and sometimes I literally go to work 7 hours after I get off the night before. Sometimes my shifts are as long as 10 or 11 hours in length and I usually consume 1 or 2 energy drinks to wake me up and when I need to power through to the end. I know how bad energy drinks can be if consumed regularly, but its the easiest way for me to wake up. I hate coffee, and I just need an easy alternative.
Thanks!

I'm just curious what sorts of physics topics scientists and engineers working on alternative energies would be familiar with. Thanks!

...?
Alternative energy is electricity.
Oil isn't.
So how does alternative energy trade off with electricity?
Er, yes, wrong forum...noticed that as I posted it. But answer, please!
