Any advice for research topics on alternative and renewable energy in India?

There are a lot of energy issues happening there. Rural population with out electricity, consumption rates trippling, and alternative fuel sources, but how can I make a case study/ field study project into it.

Can you please give me a list of research project topics i could use.
(ie: Social effects of rural population not having access to electricity.)
