Alternative Energy?

For my report, i have to know the percent of alternative energy that the state of illinois uses. the different types of alt. energy are wind power, Hydroelectric, solar, nuclear, and fossil. if you have a source that would help too. thank you

Hi,
A clarification for you. Fossil and nuclear fuels are not renewable, nor generally accepted as "alternative" while its debatable as to whether or not nuclear is "green" as it doesn’t produce CO2 in the course of energy generation. Neither fossil or nuclear are renewable.
According to the Energy Information Administration website, in 2005 IL produced renewable energy using the following methods. The number following the method is the number of Megawatt Hours (Thousands of Kilowatt Hours) generated:
Hydroelectric, 129,037
Landfill Gas (LFG) 593,325
MISC Biomass, 88,243
Wind, 141,146
Solar, <no info>
