A combination of renewable energy will be required for a sustainable future. No one technology has the ability to meet all energy requirements. An effective combination of many technologies will be required to meet future energy demands. Each technology has it’s advantages and limitations, but together, they can solve the world energy crisis.
Cleaner alternatives include
- Hydroelectricity
- Wave power
- Solar energy
- Wind power
- Biofuel
Other alternatives such as nuclear can be used as a transitional technology to help our society move away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy. Clearly nuclear energy also has many concerns and is a limited resource, but technology can be used temporarily while we further develop more sustainable energy sources.
The key point is we need the combined effort of individual support and government support and funding. A combination of renewable energy sources can easily meet societies energy requirements if we invest enough research, time and capital into it.
There is no *single* solution to the energy crisis, it will be a combination of multiple technologies.
Solar. It lasts up 35 years with little drop off in efficacy and pays for itself in 15 years, even sooner with govt rebates and taxcredits.
we can’t say this is the best energy…bcs all the sources are we need…if u say solar…in rainy season or some cloudy times or night times ,,,,we can’t do..if u say wind energy,,,we can’t do anything in the period of with out wind…if u say atomic energy…the fuel may be gone in one day&its more dangerous …..so all the energies have some disadvantage…….so we should have all the energy sources….so only we can live comfatable with energy….
wind is our greatest unused source of energy!
At this point there are a lot of alternative energy sources: solar, hydrogen, geothermal, biofuels, and nuclear. I think alternative is the best way to go for the future, however, it depends on the subsidies government gives to the oil industry; preventing the free market from operating optimally.
I think solar holds much promise to power homes, electronic products, and other appliances. Hydrogen and biofuels hold promise to power vehicles. Of course, hydrogen is only an energy conduit, not a form of energy. Biofuels sound good, but it requires land, labor and capital to make it cost effective. I’ve heard industrial hemp is perhaps a solution instead of using ethanol to power vehicles.
Nuclear power is very controversial. Chernobyl is an historical fact we cannot ignore. I think nuclear fusion is more reliable than is nuclear fission. Unfortunately, it is cost prohibitive at this time. Again, if government would quit subsidies to the oil and gas industries as well as agricultural subsidies, alternative fuel research and development would be more cost effective.
if we put all forms of alternative energy to use instead of squabling over which one is the best we could have solved this problem long ago
hydro power
wind
solar
and if properly regulated nuclear
