How much energy can be harnessed from this source? What is the efficiency of the windmills? Is it really economically feasible? Considering it costs billions to make those windmills.
Sources to websites are appreciated.

some energy sources could be nuclear(most promising in my opinion), wind power, solar, and others.

Particularly around San Diego County?? When I was younger and lived at Orange County, my family and I used to drive up to a relative's place and there would always be wind farms around. They're just so beautiful!
Now, we lie in the north San Diego County area and I miss them very much. I would just like to see them, like to drive past them again. Does anybody happen to know where the closest wind farms are? Or if not thattt close... just any wind farms around California?

Like if a hurricane happened or some other natural disaster occurred would the variety of the renewable energy sources such as wind and solar bode well for those who depended on them?

I would like to know how wind velocity and the size, weight and composition of the blades determine the amount of energy produced. I have no background in physics or engineering, so I would appreciate and assistance or guidance with respect to wind power generation. Thanks.

Hi, I really would appreciate some help with an assignment i am doing. One of the tasks is to Create a time-line describing the development of wind energy production and the role it will play in the future. Any web sites any one can offer would be great! and it doesn't matter what date the time line starts at, i just really need some help. Please. And thank you.

Drilling off all of our coastline? A thinking leader should consider alternative options. I see nothing but greed in this plan. As our communities are destroyed, oil prices won't decrease in price. The oil companies will keep getting richer.
He really scares me.

if uranium needs to be mined from the earth, wont it run out some day? and if what will replace it? there has to be something or else they wouldnt call nuclear energy a renewable resource.

All I ever hear republicans talk about is nuclear energy, shale oil(which is very costly), or drill baby drill. I just wish they would get with the program. It looks like they are out of touch.

I know that some people think that we should focus on increasing energy efficiency and energy conservation rather then alternative energy sources. Why? Also, what is the difference between energy efficiency and energy conservation?

I'm interested in solar power in particular, but everything is game. I'd like suggestions on appropriate majors and/or courses, and work experiences/jobs I should look out for.
Are there any universities where strides in this field are being taken/interesting research is being done?

Is there any other things that wind turbines do that are good, other then produce energy? for example jobs? Any others....
Thanks : )

Gravity is a natural force that pulls down, therefor it should be possible to get some energy out of it.
And heat is a free and limitless energy source, i think.
Has anyone looked into this???
If so what came of it?

My electricity bill has been so high for the past few months. I used to pay around 0.00 last year but this year it is a whopping 5.00. I am fed up and ready to switch over to something that is going to save me money. Any advice?
