how much would it cost to set up a proper power unit?? i am trying to prove that wind power is bad (i dont actually believe that it is for my paper) but i need to prove that its costly. thankss

the question reads: 2 sites are being considered for wind power generation. site : the wind blows steadily at 7m/s for 3000 hours per year. site 2: wind blows at 10 m/s for 2000 hours per year. assume wind velocity is negligable at other times of the year.
i would like to see the equation and steps to solve it.

I own five acres of land in a very sunny part of Colorado. The subdivision in which I have the land has no active HOA and there are no covenants that prevent me from putting up as many solar panels and windmills as I can handle. How would I go about selling land for solar or wind power or even getting it going and just getting a check every month?

A few other questions on wind power, as i'm very interested in this subject .......
- How expensive is wind power? (the construction, expensive to run)
- Is wind power used anywhere else in the worl apart from Australia?
- How sustainable are the reserves of energy?
