For a 5 month project at school I have to build a wind turbine for my home. How many hours will it take, will I get an efficent gadget, and how much will it cost? I'm thinking of getting help from a small wind turbine manufacturer. And I would just like to say my motor skills are very poor and I am not used to building things. Can I do it?

There is some talk in the think tanks that it would be a good idea to:
1. Develop an alternative energy source. (we can and will do it someday)
2. Deport all Muslims who preach violence.
3. Leave all Muslim countries.
4. Close our borders to any further immigrants from Muslim countries.
Would this be a good idea?

When did we first really discover renewable energy?

Says we could cut foreign oil imports by 20% in ten years.
Produce 20% clean electricity by windpower and use natural gas for fuel for cars that is 98% produced in North America and currently cost 1 dollar a gallon.
Plus unlike any other plan proposed so far it is possible with current technology and cost structures.

If you had a wind turbine installed on your property, is it possible for that to be your only source of energy? I'm including electricity, water, and heat. I would still have a backup of something, though, just in case.

Im thinking of going to school to get an associates of applied sciences degree in renewable energy. I was just wondering what kind of money someone with that would make.

It's proven technology to generate power for us that produces no carbon dioxide, sulfur emmisions, lead, mercury, etc. The new designs by GE and the french are very reliable and safe. People just remember chernobyl and 3 mile island. I am not saying we should not develop geothermal, solar, wind, and wave, but nuclear power generation is proven. Some people argue that getting rid of the waste is a problem but there are plenty of plans for storing it and the yucca mountain facility is going to be opening soon.

I would like to know if I can use a generator or car batteries or any other energy to light my small earthbag home other than solar or wind energy. Solar and wind energy is to expensive are there any other low cost ways to power my home? It has to be off-grid meaning not connected to a utility company.
gggsbaby - what are you talking about?

Exactly how much room in the budgets of the elderly and poor and working families does Obama believe is available for electricity that costs a lot of money?

Do you think we could harness the wind coming out of Washington (mouths and a*sses) to fuel America???
And will plastic face polosi and dingy harry add taxes to gas being emitted by the public and exempt themselves???

Recently hugh wind farms are being constructed around my area of Texas. Right now they seem to me like huge works of art but the appeal may wear off. How do you feel about them?

I have a small wind turbine, and i was just wondering, how would i store the energy for later use? Every time i connect it to a battery, the turbine starts spinning, and the battery gets used up. Can you please tell me how to store the energy from the turbine? Thanks.
