The special section notes the Clinton proposal. Stock profits are from private corporations and investors. Would you allow a politician to use your profits for alternative energy development without your knowledge or approval? Could this be a political ploy?
The oil companies take the money they make and buy back there own stocks so the value of the stocks go higher.. Shouldn't they reinvest the money in renewable energy
We've had a bunch of wind farms pop up in my area and I was wondering how many homes each turbine could power.
Here's a picture of what I mean:

Hahaha where I am, it blows almost constantly.
A tropical cyclone converts stored thermal energy located in water molecules into turbulent wind energy by giving up heat through the process called ____.
a. Vaporization
b. Accumulation
c. Climatization
d. Condensation
I'm doing a debate and need evidence that says alternative energy incentives (such as tax breaks, etc.) will make more people use alternative energy sources. If you can find any thing that says they will, please answer. Thank you!
I want to study ecology, animal behavior, evolution etc. but I also want to keep the door open for a career in renewable energy such as ocean, and wind
what should I major and minor in?
I know that the wind is what gets them moving.
But are there weights in the tips of the 'windmill' blades that keep them spinning?
Knowledgeable persons only, no rude responses or I'll report you.
I'm planning on building a business. What would be the advantage of using solar cells or windmills to produce the power, or at least to keep the cost of electrical power down? The facility will be in the midwest and will be opened year round thru four seasons.

What do you think about this? Could we be seeing these solar dyes on all new buildings within 5 years? Would you be willing to put these panels on all the windows in your house? Could this technology make solar energy the most commonly used alternative energy source?
Apparently the government has 700 billion dollars it's willing to wage on the banking industry. I was wondering what the environmental and economical impact would be if they invested this kind of money in renewable energies.
as the electric car is driving could a small wind turbine be deployed up say from the trunk or through the grill area and allowed to spin to create new power made from the car moving forward to repower itself ?
Stick your hand out the window, feel the strong wind flying by your car, why couldnt they install special vents on the front, side and back to funnel that wind into some type of turbine that would create enough party to continually charge batteries
I keep reading about home sized windmills. The only ones the government seems to be interested in are the humongous 3 bladed giants with 100 ft wingspans, not very practical for my back yard here in Frederick Maryland.
Obama and McCain want change. But the REAL solution to the economy is to get rid of oil and replace it with plug-in-hybrids. People wouldn't pay a gallon at the gas station anymore. It would boom the economy. Why don;t they emphasis the agression of alternative energy?
Will renewable energy help or hinder with our relations with other countries around the world?
I understand the turbines, what I don't understand is the wind can carry just three blades that look very thin. Why not make very thick blades, and lots of them? Old windmills had three blades (I have no idea why), but they had must thicker blades.
*much thicker
I'm interested in this field of work . I know very little about it . I am interested in knowing What is in a day of work and how much someone gets paid to do it . I have an opportunity to go to school for this but I would like to know the pros and cons before I make any decisions . Any help will be appreciated
I am looking for alternative energy companies for future investments; hydrogen fuel cells, battery, solar, wind, etc.
I am doing research in the area of renewable energy diffusion modelling and would like to receive methods used for simliar concepts or research.
How big must the turbine be?
What average wind speed per month must there be?
How high must the tower be?
I live in a very hot and open area, so solar energy will work perfect since the sun shines the whole day with no shadows from trees, and since it is open it is also windy at times too
1. Geothermal
2. Solar
3. Wind power
4. Hydroelectric
5. Biomass
Those are some of the alternative energy please give us some more if there are any and some websites thx:)
I NEED SOME GOOD ANSWERS!
I understand that at present if our economy were to suddenly adjust to a green economy, there would be a serious crisis. For one, renewable energy sources are not very reliable, and may need to be subsidized similar to how ethanol is subsidized. But with sufficient research and development, could the US economy remain strong or become even stronger runnng almost exclusively on renewable sources?
